Woodbridge, Virginia – December 15, 2017 – MAG Aerospace was awarded a multi-year contract to provide mission, collective, and operational training to further develop Afghan Air Force aircrews operating the UH-60 Black Hawk. This win is significant and will ensure they have the necessary skill sets beyond initial qualification to effectively utilize the aircraft in support of combat operations, resupply, troop movement, casualty, and medical evacuation. This effort is in support of an agreement between the Afghan National Defense Security Force (ANDSF) and the Office of the Secretary of Defense to replace and augment ANDSF’s aging fleet of Mi-17 helicopters with over 150 refurbished UH-60 A/L helicopters divested from U.S. Army inventory.
