MAG Aerospace, a global leader in C5ISR services, and Rocket Fast Drones, a leader in high-performance unmanned aircraft technology, are pleased to announce a strategic partnership aimed at advancing unmanned aircraft operations for counter-UAS, air-launched effects, attritable strike, and ISR.

This collaboration seeks to advance MAG’s capability in the rapidly expanding field of unmanned aircraft, pairing the Rocket Fast Drones family of vertical takeoff and landing tube launched unmanned aircraft with MAG’s proven capability as the Lead Systems Integrator (LSI), unmanned aircraft operator, and a proven defense prime contractor.

“The conflict in Iran clearly illustrated a substantial gap in unmanned aircraft technology,” said Matt Jessup, Chief Engineer at MAG Aerospace. “The United States and our allies expended hundreds of millions of dollars in novel counter UAS and offensive strike weapons systems to defeat cheap Iranian unmanned aircraft. Rocket Fast Drones is a family of high-performance unmanned aircraft that can be tube-launched and utilized for counter UAS, strike, intelligence gathering, or electronic warfare. Their vertical takeoff and landing ability makes them recoverable, but the option to 3D print them in the field makes them cheap enough to be attritable.”

MAG Aerospace, which holds global contracts with a variety of defense and security agencies, provides full spectrum C5ISR solutions that support military and government operations worldwide. MAG’s established relationships and proven track record as an operator of contractor-owned contractor-operated unmanned aircraft position both companies for substantial revenue opportunities and growth in the field of unmanned aviation.

Rocket Fast Drones offers a family of unmanned aircraft that are rapidly scalable with an open architecture and the unique ability to utilize 3D printing to manufacture nearly the entire aircraft in the field. Current models vary from 90 mm to 450 mm in diameter, with ranges up to 40 nautical miles and speeds projected up to 155 miles per hour. All Rocket Fast Drones models are capable of vertical takeoff and landing and can be tube-launched. Flight control is native point to point autonomous, with the capability to swarm for massed ground or air launched effects. With up to 2.2 pounds of modular payload, Rocket Fast Drones are uniquely suited to offensive strike, counter UAS, electronic warfare, and intelligence gathering.

“We’re excited to partner with MAG Aerospace to bring Rocket Fast Drones technology into operational environments at scale,” said Joni Sytsma, CEO of Rocket Fast Drones. “MAG brings deep operational experience, systems integration capability and established relationships across the U.S. Defence market. Combined with our rapidly scalable, high-performance unmanned aircraft platform, this partnership creates a strong pathway to deliver adaptable capability quickly and at a cost that enables scale.”
