Cabo Verde – March 18, 2021 – With short notice, United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) was requested by the US Ambassador to coordinate delivery of COVID-19 vaccines to the islands of Cabo Verde. These vaccines are intended for healthcare workers and at-risk individuals on the island as the first line of defense against spread of the virus. Under direction of AFRICOM, MAG Aerospace facilitated the drop-off to six of Cabo Verde’s eight islands, with the remaining two islands taking vaccine delivery by boat.

MAG will continue to collaborate with the AFRICOM, Department of State, and Cabo Verdean Government in delivery of the second dose in April.
