Justin Janaskie

Justin Janaskie to Serve as Chief Technology Officer for MAG Aerospace

Fairfax, Virginia – January 1, 2020 – MAG Aerospace (MAG) announced the appointment of Justin Janaskie (priorly SVP of the Collection Operations and Analysis Business Unit) to Chief Technology Officer, effective January 1, 2020. In his new role, Mr. Janaskie will support all operations, corporate growth and strategy by identifying new technology and cutting-edge advancements that can be implemented by MAG in order lead the aerospace and defense industry in global operations.

Mr. Janaskie previously served as the MAG Senior Vice President of the Collections, Operations and Analysis (COA) Business Unit.  He was responsible for overseeing the daily collection, operations, and analysis for MAG’s numerous CONUS and OCONUS programs and assets worldwide. Prior to that, he worked for the MAG Chief Growth Officer, Matt Bartlett, in developing and implementing a long-term growth plan by supporting the integration of a new business development and proposal operations team, while also supporting numerous acquisition integration efforts.  He also served as the Senior Vice President of the Global Operations Business Unit during the New Mountain Capital acquisition of MAG and also served as the Vice President and Deputy to Robert Heller in the former ISR Business Unit.

Prior to MAG, Justin worked at SpecTIR, LLC for over seven and a half years, serving most recently as President. During his time at SpecTIR, he held numerous other roles to include Vice-President of the SpecTIR Remote Sensing (SRS) division along with working in the SpecTIR Government Solutions (SGS) division out of the Fairfax office supporting US Government contracts. His last position in the Fairfax office was Program Manager/Systems Engineer for SpecTIR’s Hyperspectral Technical Exploitation Capability (HYTEC) automated, ground-based, hyperspectral target identification system. Other roles included Systems, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) work on research and development programs for identify intelligence and measurements & signatures intelligence (MASINT).

Justin holds a degree for Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering and Master of Science in Engineering Science for Geological Engineering and is currently pursuing his Ph. D. in Engineering Science.
