Fairfax, Virginia  – November 8, 2018 – MAG Aerospace Special Mission Training (SMT) Division has partnered with the USSOCOM Care Coalition to provide career opportunities for wounded and medically retiring SOCOM personnel in a fellowship role preparing them for civilian life. MAG has a memorandum of agreement in place with the Care Coalition working reintegration and career transition opportunities for participating members.

Since December 2016, MAG has had four fellowships enter the program. At completion of the program, two were hired as full time MAG employees while one elected to take another path with the continued support of MAG in their transition. The latest candidate on-boarded effective November 7, 2018 and is in the process of re-qualifying for all JTAC requirements before interviewing for MAG’s AFSOC JTAC Program for employment upon official retirement.

We hope that through participation in both the USSOCOM Care Coalition and the Career Skills Program (CSP) for the conventional forces, we not only help MAG recruit and retain highly qualified individuals, but also live out the MAG core values of “Serve, Win, Perform” by helping our wounded warriors with their corporate transition assistance as well.

The U.S. Special Operations Command Warrior Care Program (Care Coalition) was established in 2005 to provide Special Operations Forces (SOF) wounded, ill, or injured service members and their families advocacy after life changing events in order to navigate through recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration as quickly as possible, strengthening SOF readiness. Whether you are returning operational status, moving into a different field, or transitioning into veteran status, the USSOCOM Warrior Care Program (Care Coalition) will help you get there.
