Modern mission-critical operations demand solutions that are as adaptable as they are innovative. MAG’s Universal Adapter Plate (UAP) Radome System is redefining modular satellite communications for C5ISR operations with its seamless adaptability and cutting-edge engineering. Designed to meet the evolving challenges of today’s airspace, the UAP system combines unmatched versatility with advanced defense technology integration, elevating the standard for operational excellence in the sky.

A Universal Design for Limitless Potential

The Universal Adapter Plate lives up to its name by offering a truly universal design. Built to interface with multiple manufacturers’ Electronically Steered Antennas (ESAs), the UAP eliminates limitations that have long hindered adaptability in airborne communications platforms. This single, standardized solution streamlines aircraft certification processes, reducing time and complexity while increasing reliability to remain at the tip of the spear.

What makes this system particularly impressive is its compatibility with multi-constellation Beyond-Line-of-Sight (BLOS) communication technologies. The system is engineered to handle up to 100 pounds of antenna equipment, ensuring that operators can swap cutting-edge payloads with ease. These features allow the UAP to act as a modular framework that can grow with the demands of evolving technologies.

Built for Advanced Defense Technology Integration

At its core, the UAP Radome System is designed with the future in mind. Next-generation ESAs, which require high precision and low latency, find an ideal platform in the UAP. Its design incorporates additional depth for enhanced cooling and increased equipment volume, ensuring optimal performance even in intensive operational conditions. Whether supporting the warfighter on surveillance and reconnaissance missions, secure communications, or precision targeting for increased lethality, the system is fully equipped to enable high-performance defense technology in austere environments.

MAG, being a premier innovator of defense technology solutions in multi-source, all-domain, decision superiority market, has created a solution that not only meets current needs but is also primed for future advancements in satellite communication systems by designing the UAP to accommodate a diverse range of antenna equipment and turn-key process on future certifications on next-generation C5ISR platforms.

A Perfect Fit for Manned ISR Aircraft

A standout feature of the Universal Adapter Plate Radome System is its seamless integration into the most popular manned ISR aircraft. This adaptability makes it possible to equip aircraft with cutting-edge satellite communications capabilities without undergoing extensive restructuring, redesign, and most importantly, FAA recertification, saving both time and money. Whether it’s retrofitting existing fleets or outfitting new platforms, the UAP provides an essential upgrade with minimal downtime.

Additionally, the system’s robust FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) signifies its readiness for deployment in mission-critical scenarios. Backed by rigorous engineering and certification processes executed exclusively at MAG’s Florida Technology Integration & Interoperability Innovation Center, the UAP represents a significant advancement in ISR technology and is manufactured to meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

MAG Aerospace Successfully Validates Universal Adapter Plate (UAP) on Cessna Caravan

From February 19-27, MAG Aerospace conducted successful validation testing utilizing the Universal Adapter Plate (UAP) to mount the Enhanced Satellite Antenna (ESA) on a Cessna Caravan. During this rigorous testing phase, the ESA demonstrated robust and stable connections with the Eutelsat OneWeb Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network.

The testing showcased the UAP’s capability to support multi-device connectivity, enabling a range of applications for multiple passengers. Users were able to simultaneously stream high-definition content from platforms such as Netflix and YouTube (8K), engage in Teams video conferencing, make WhatsApp video calls, access email, utilize corporate VPNs, and manage OneDrive files without interruption.

This successful validation underscores MAG Aerospace’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions that enhance connectivity and operational efficiency in all domains.

The impact of the Universal Adapter Plate on C5ISR operations has surpassed expectations. By enabling faster certification, facilitating advanced technology integration, and enhancing modularity, the UAP empowers operators to execute missions with greater precision, efficiency, and enhanced lethality. From intelligence gathering to secure communications, the system broadens operational horizons while reducing logistical challenges.

Whether supporting military objectives or driving innovation in commercial applications, the UAP ensures that mission-critical tasks are completed with accuracy and dependability. It is a game-changer in how we think about modular satellite communications in the sky.

MC-208 Guardian

MAG Aerospace has developed our proprietary version based on the Cessna Caravan 208 platform, the MC-208 Guardian, which was extensively used to test and validate UAP’s capabilities in remote and real-world settings. This multi-role configuration features design upgrades and essential added capabilities tailored for mission-critical austere operations, making it an ideal choice for diverse operational environments. We incorporate proven defense technologies and systems, such as the UAP, that make the MC-208 Guardian an indispensable tool for the special operations mission today, delivering decisive capability to our Warfighters.

MC-208 Guardian’s multi-role platform have been delivered and utilized operationally worldwide under the DOD sponsored Building Partnership Capacity program.
