
Sr VP Strategic Development
Dr. Robinson serves as the SVP of Strategic Development at MAG Aerospace. In this role he focuses on strategic growth, integrating technical capabilities across the company, and corporate development.
Dr. Robinson served as the CEO Craxel Inc. which created a high performance secure distributed ledger technology for modernizing financial and supply chain markets. Based in Silicon Valley and Washington DC, Craxel has focused on the issuance, custody, settlement, and operations of distributed ledger systems for the capital markets. Dr. Robinson has led the engineering efforts for various projects for cryptocurrencies, securitized assets, custody and settlement, and other disruptive opportunities in the financial markets.
As the Chief Technology Officer for CSRA and General Dynamics IT, he led the development of technical solutions that won over $4B of next generation IT opportunities for the Federal Government. Dr. Robinson focused on complex mission critical IT solutions in the national security, intelligence, and other government services. Dr. Robinson has also been responsible for the technical innovation in key programs, and the overall technology strategy. Dr. Robinson led a team of the company’s top experts in multiple areas to achieve strategic objectives and ensure CSRA continually delivers superior next-generation technical solutions to its clients.
Dr. Robinson has delivered technically advanced and profitable IT enterprise services and cybersecurity solutions for both military and international clients. Dr. Robinson has worked on missile defense, cyber operations systems, radar and sensor systems, space systems, battle management command and control, and UAV systems. Each of these projects involved direct advocacy to the Pentagon, international governments, and Congressional stakeholders.
Dr. Robinson has five Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Management Economics, and Applied Mathematics from Hampden-Sydney College. He also has a Master’s of Science degree in Statistics specializing in data mining and artificial intelligence systems. He earned a Doctorate degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia focused on large scale computational statistics analysis. He also attended Oxford University and executive programs at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of business. Dr. Robinson is the Director for Cybersecurity at Caltech’s Center for Technology and Management Education. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
