Woodbridge, VA, November 19, 2015- Hope For The Warriors® teamed with Corporate Executives from Momentum Aerospace Group (MAG) to conduct a one-day Power. Action. Community. Transition. (PACT) Business Boot Camp for veteran entrepreneurs. On Thursday, November 5, C-level executives from the MAG team, mostly veterans themselves, discussed their careers, how they built on their experiences in the military, and presented short classes on business development, including: building a founding team, developing a pipeline, operations, accounting, and pitching strategies. The five veterans in attendance took their business ideas and created a brief outline of a business plan and practiced pitching their businesses.

One veteran in attendance was a recently retired Marine who has been running a successful custom wood fabricating business for the past two years. Now that he has retired from the Marine Corps, after 16 years of service, he plans to focus on growing his business full-time. Another attendee praised the Leadership of MAG, “The wealth of experience is definitely invaluable and the fact that they were willing to be available to me, if needed, speaks volumes about their character.”

“The PACT Business Boot Camp is a great learning opportunity for many aspiring veterans with innovative business ideas,” said Chris Sharon, Hope For The Warriors® Senior Director of Transition Services. “These veterans already possess many of the skills needed to be successful entrepreneurs, and through these sessions they are equipped with practical knowledge to help grow their start-ups ideas into sustainable business plans.”

PACT Business Boot Camp is an ongoing series that Hope For The Warriors® hosts with business partners throughout the country. For more information on Hope For The Warriors®, click here.
